Nate "TheFatManatee" Pingel is a Nigel Thornberry player from Indiana and was one of the top Nigels of NASB 1. TheFatManatee was a consistent strong threat during his time in NASB 1 with several top 4s to his name. He was also the main contributor behind a document made to catalog all of what was shown of NASB 2 prior to release. However, aside from a few tournaments early in the games life, Manatee did not compete in NASB 2 that much.
Manatee was the winner of Frosty Faustings XV's NASB1 event, but the medal he recieved spelled the acronym wrong, causing him to be ironically nicknamed the "NABS Champ."
Nowadays, while Manatee does not compete in NASB 1 as often as he used to, he still interacts with the community from time to time, even participating in tournaments for Nick Brawl Community Editon on the ocassion. After NASB 1, Manatee became a Zangief player in Street Fighter 6, and has earned some extremely strong results. On occasion, the Nick Brawl community will often pop into Street Fighter 6 streams that he is playing in to show their support. In his spare time, he enjoys birdwatching and cooking.
