Sir Sunky, or just Sunky, is a SpongeBob player from New Jersey. He is best known for his highly aggressive playstyle with SpongeBob. Sunky first started out in NASB 1, continuing to main SpongeBob into NASB 2. For two seasons in a row, Sunky had yet to place on the power ranking beyond an Honorable Mention, being widely considered a hidden boss. This was until Season 5 where he had finally made the Power Ranking, with wins in that season including MERGAS, Senpac and connorjay.
Early on in the game's life, Sunky was known for bringing up Chef Flip, SpongeBob's Down Special, frequently in meta discussions, as he felt that it was completely useless and needed significant changes to be viable. However, much later on, players Bean and Kayki showcased different usages and tricks with the move and showed Sunky it had strong utility. Now, almost ironically, Sunky constantly uses the move and advocates for other SpongeBob players to use it as well. This has resulted in occasional teasing from others due to the extreme turnaround and Sunky's initial doubts of the move being viable.
Sunky is also a commentator and frequent modder. Outside of NASB and SpongeBob SquarePants as a whole, he is also a big fan of Puyo Puyo, particularly the character Sig. He has even gone as far as to commissioning a custom skin for SpongeBob wearing one of Sig's outfits from Puyo Puyo Quest.
